Comm. Minutes--July 19, 1993 1066 <br /> <br />the permit and sketch presented by County Engineer Keith <br />Berndt. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Approved for The Grainery MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve permit <br /> for special event for The Grainery to sell alcoholic <br /> beverages at Bonanzaville on September 18, 1993. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PLAT OF WILD RICE RIVER ESTATES, Final plat approved <br />County Engineer Keith Berndt received a letter dated June 15, 1993, <br />from Attorney Jonathan Garaas, representing Anton Rutten, concerning <br />the neighborhood park in Wild Rice River Estates. Mr. Garaas asked <br />that the Commission agenda be amended today to approve the plat. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve final <br /> plat of Wild Rice River Estates located in parts of the <br /> southeast quarter of Section 23 and the southwest quarter <br /> of Section 24, Stanley Township. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1993-17, Declaration of a Disaster MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt a <br /> "Declaration of a Disaster" resolution for all of Cass <br /> County because of damages from flash flooding caused by 4}- <br /> 7 inches of rainfall within a limited time period. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT HEARING, Application by Brian and MaryAnn Langager approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Upon the recommendation of Francis Klein, Director of Tax <br /> Equalization, Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to <br /> approve Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes <br /> No. 3970 submitted by Brian and MaryAnn Langager, adjusting <br /> the valuation to $42,300 on Lot 14, Block 2, Maplewood <br /> Addition to the City of Mapleton. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />JOINT DISPATCH COUNCIL, <br />Mr. Wieland said the Joint Dispatch Council recommends accepting the <br />consulting proposal of Ward M. Montgomery & Associates of Minnetonka, <br />MN in the amount of $29,165 for technical aspects of a joint dispatch <br />center between Fargo, West Fargo and Cass County. He suggested that <br />Cass County Government bear the financial responsibility because a <br />joint dispatch center will serve to benefit all citizens of the county <br />and prevent duplication of taxes for Fargo and West Fargo taxpayers. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint expressed concern about Cass County Government spending <br />nearly $30,000 without a dollar commitment to proceed from the cities <br />of Fargo and West Fargo. She said the County Auditor has information <br />on a tax formula based upon property valuations, and she thinks this <br />should be reviewed, however, Mr. Montplaisir is out of town this week. <br /> <br /> <br />
