Minutes--July 6, 1993 1055 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> JULY 6, 1993 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 <br />PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, <br />Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda, adding a raffle permit for Roughrider <br /> Detachment #435, Marine Corps League, to the consent agenda <br /> under permits· Motion carried. <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENDATIONS, Jerry Skjonsby; Elisabeth Schiltz MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to send letters <br /> of commendation to Jerry Skjonsby and Elisabeth Schiltz for <br /> their work on welfare fraud pilot projects, which have <br /> developed into a state program. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. The Chairman read the letters and <br /> presented them to Mr. Skjonsby and Mrs. Schiltz. <br /> <br />BUDGET TRANSFER APPROVED, Treasurer's postage line item <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to transfer <br /> $2,000 from Auditor's Office supplies budget to Treasurer's <br /> Office postage budget because of additional statements <br /> being mailed for collection of outstanding delinquent <br /> taxes. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out- <br /> of-state travel for Lyla L. Rath, Jail Nurse, to attend the <br /> National Conference on Correctional Health Care in Orlando, <br /> FL on September 20-22, 1993. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AUDITOR, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out- <br /> of-state travel for Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor to <br /> attend the Advanced Government Finance Institute class in <br /> Madison, WI on July 18-23, 1993. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
