Minutes--June 21, 1993 1053 <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />VOUCHER WITHHELD, Fargo Clinic-Meritcare bill discussed <br />Mr. Wieland reviewed a copy of a billing from Fargo Clinic-Meritcare <br />which the Commission withheld from payment at the last meeting for <br />further information. The State's Attorney wrote a letter to the <br />Chairman stating the circumstances of an evaluation ordered by the <br />court in the Matthew Guemple case. He said the court order stated <br />that the County of Cass should bear financial responsibility. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to return the <br /> Fargo Clinic-Meritcare billing and request further <br /> information on the number of hours and the rate per hour <br /> that is being billed. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD PROJECTS UPDATE, PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP, JOINT DISPATCH, <br />EAST CENTRAL/NDACO MEETING, Committee reports <br />Mr. Risher asked Engineer Berndt about two Cass County road projects <br />being done by the same contractor. Mr. Berndt said the work is <br />marginally satisfactory, but some of that is due to the weather. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint asked about the term of Randy Naslund on the County <br />Planning Commission because there is some concern about getting a <br />quorum at those meetings. Mr. Risher said he does not have a <br />resignation from Mr. Naslund but if the meetings were held at a <br />different time, he would be more likely to attend. Mr. Berndt said <br />members will discuss changing their regular meeting time from 8:15 to <br />7:30 AM, and meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. <br />Mr. Risher will inform Mr. Naslund about the proposed time change. <br /> <br />Mr. Risher and Mr. Wieland reported on the June 15th Joint Dispatch <br />Council meeting~ and said three responses were received on their <br />"Request for Proposals." <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland reported that he and Mr. Risher attended the East Central <br />Commissioners Association meeting in Devils Lake last Friday, which <br />was held in conjunction with an outing for all North Dakota county <br />officials. He said Mark Johnson from the Association of Counties <br />reviewed the effects of the last legislative session. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />notice of condemnation hearings to be held at 10:00 AM, June <br />29th, 1993, for County Road 17 right-of-way; <br /> <br />letter from ND Department of Transportation on road and bridge <br />project deadlines; <br /> <br />Public Service Commission notice of abandonment of 6.7 miles of <br />railroad track near Alice, ND; <br /> <br /> <br />
