Minutes--April 5, 1993 1011 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> APRIL 5, 1993 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 <br />PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, <br />Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded that the minutes of <br /> the previous meeting be approved as written· Motion <br /> carried· <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda, adding the following to the consent agenda: <br /> request from Regional Child Support Enforcement Director to <br /> hire temporary case analyst, Social Services out-of-state <br /> travel and two new employee hires, contract for inter- <br /> governmental roadway study under agenda item h (contract <br /> approval). Motion carried. <br /> <br />BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE, Staff commendation MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to send letters <br /> of commendation to Ron Leon, Pete Johnson, Heather Worden, <br /> Cheryl McQuade and Michael Montplaisir for their efforts in <br /> assisting Cass County in providing efficient and effective <br /> maintenance services. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, Out-of-state travel approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out- <br /> of-state travel for Cass County Welfare Fraud Investigator, <br /> Elisabeth Schiltz, to attend the Minnesota Fraud <br /> Investigator's Spring Conference May 2-5, 1993, at Rutger's <br /> Lodge near Brainerd, MN. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNTY COURT, Contingenc~ fund to be used for outside legal services <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> payment of $2,464.46 from County Contingency Funds to Mr. <br /> William Kirschner for legal services on a criminal case, as <br /> recommended and approved by County Judge Georgia Dawson. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY, Amend Section 4.00 (Advisory Boards) <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend <br /> Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, (Advisory Boards), <br /> to include Employee Benefits Review Committee under County <br /> <br /> <br />
