Minutes--March 19, 1993 <br /> <br />1007 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MARCH 19, 1993 (FRIDAY) <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 9:30 <br />AM with four members present as follows: Steve Risher, Alon Wieland, <br />Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. Don Eckert was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. wieland moved and Mr. Ness seconded that minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve order of <br /> the agenda adding the following to the consent agenda: <br /> application for bingo permit by Kindred High School Close- <br /> up Club and resolution opposing SB2201 concerning road <br /> construction mandates. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK, Purchase of display advertising <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve an <br /> expenditure of $480 from the public education line item in <br /> the commission projects budget for the purpose of <br /> purchasing display advertising in The Forum to highlight <br /> citizen questions and responses from county commissioners <br /> during County Government Week, which is April 17-24, 1993. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Section 32.00 (reserving meeting rooms) <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve adding a <br /> new section (32.00) to the Cass County Commission Policy <br /> Manual concerning the reserving of meeting rooms; and that <br /> this policy be forwarded to any group or individual who has <br /> booked a county room and is not directly affiliated with <br /> county government with a notice of the changes. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENTS, Red River Valley Fair Association <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to issue a special <br /> Sunday permit allowing Red River Valley Fair Association to <br /> sell beer on June 20, July 11, July 18, August 8 and August <br /> 29, 1993, in accordance with their letter of March 10, <br /> 1993. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
