Comm. Minutes--February 16, 1993 998 18. 19. Mr. Risher said he received a response from the State's Attorney on offering employee rewards for money-saving ideas utilized by the County. He still plans to pursue this after receiving information on the program implemented in Sunnyvale, California. Mrs. Toussaint suggested sending all county department heads a memo regarding training opportunities along with a copy of information she received from the City of Fargo and the local Chamber of Commerce on a Total Quality Management in Government seminar. Bonnie Johnson said the cost of the training can be paid from the Personnel Department training budget, and Commissioners were in agreement that all department heads and other staff should be encouraged to attend. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Ness seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. - copy of memo from County Engineer Keith Berndt to Commissioner Bernie Ness dated February 1, 1993, on revised bridge replacement criteria; - letter from Senator Tim Mathern dated February 5, 1993, concerning State Aid Distribution Fund and other legislation affecting counties; Officer's reports for January, 1993; notice of East Central Commissioners Association meeting Thursday, March llth, 10:00 AM, at the Valley City Elks Club, the annual Commissioners Day luncheon being held at 12:00 Noon in conjunction with the North Dakota Winter Show. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mr. Risher and seconded by Mr. meeting was adjourned about 4:30 PM.
