On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUDGET ADJUSTMENT, Broadway bridge Dayment MOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of the County Auditor, Mr. Risher moved <br /> and Mr. Eckert seconded to amend the 1993 budget by <br /> transferring $12,625 from the Contingency line item to the <br /> Broadway Bridge line item and authorize the payment of <br /> $25,250 as the final payment on the Broadway bridge. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1993-1, Tax lien on real estate <br />A letter was received from County Auditor Michael Montplaisir dated <br />December 22, 1992, stating that Cass County Government has been trying <br />to collect taxes on the possessory interest Mr. Arnold Larson has <br />on land he leases from the Fargo Municipal Airport. The tax on the <br />possessory interest is currently delinquent by five years and the <br />amount owed is approximately $20,000, according to Mr. Montplaisir. <br />He said North Dakota Century Code 51-22-21 allows the county to attach <br />these taxes against the real property owned by Mr. Larson. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> Resolution #1993-1 and authorize chairwoman to sign said <br /> resolution. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are certain real estate taxes legally <br />assessed and levied on leasehold or other possessory <br />interests in exempt real property which are unpaid within <br />the County of Cass, State of North Dakota, and the County <br />Commissioners of the said County deem it advisable that the <br />said unpaid and uncancelled taxes be made a lien on any <br />real estate owned by the tax debtor, or which he may <br />thereafter acquire. <br /> <br /> <br />
