Minutes--December 7, 1992 960 <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS RATIFIED, Salary <br />administration plan for 1993, employee leave request <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br /> following 1993 Salary Administration Plan: On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Ernst & Young salary scale for 1992 shall be adjusted by 2½% <br />effective January 1, 1993. <br /> <br />2) All adjustments are subject to documented, satisfactory <br /> performance evaluations. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Employees at or below market value/midpoint <br /> a) Move to appropriate step based on current (1992) years of <br /> service effective January 1, 1993 <br /> b) Those over the proper years of service step will not <br /> receive a base pay adjustment, instead, those employees <br /> will receive a lump sum payment of 23% of their current <br /> (1992) base salary on their anniversary date <br /> c) If an employee receives less than a 2½% adjustment in (a), <br /> they will receive the difference in a lump sum payment on <br /> their anniversary date <br /> d) Employees will receive step adjustments on their <br /> anniversary dates <br /> e) Employees who have received years-of-service credit for <br /> prior experience will be reviewed by the department head <br /> and Personnel Office for individual recommendations <br /> regarding appropriate step placement. Discrepancies will <br /> be reviewed by the Personnel Overview Committee. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Employees above the 1993 salary scale (market value) <br /> a) These employees will receive a lump sum payment of 23% of <br /> the 1992 base pay on their anniversary date -- base and <br /> lump sum cannot exceed the range <br /> b) No base salary adjustments will be granted to those <br /> individuals above the market value/midpoint <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />6~ <br /> <br />Elected officials will receive the 23% base salary increase <br />equal to the 1993 structure adjustment and, in addition, would <br />receive 4.6% which would represent the mean Ernst & Young salary <br />adjustment in the 1992 budget effective January l, 1993. <br /> <br />Part-time and hourly employees will have years of service in a <br />position calculated on a standard of 2,080 hours equal to one <br />year of service. Overtime hours do not apply. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br />request from Donna Lisburg, County Court, to carry annual <br />leave over 240 hours into 1993, providing it is used within <br />90 days in accordance with county personnel policy and <br />subject to approval of the relevant judges· On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously· <br /> <br /> <br />
