Minutes--December 7, 1992 958 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />DECEMBER 7, 1992 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Gene Shannon, Sharon "Pepper" <br />Toussaint and Alon Wieland. Steve Risher was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) <br /> authorize chairman and auditor to sign county deeds, 2) <br /> approve contract for engineering services, 3) authorize <br /> chairman to sign North Dakota Department of Transportation <br /> resolution, and 4) defer action on proposed amendments to <br /> Cass County Subdivision Regulations and proposed change in <br /> Subdivision Application Fee Schedule. Motion carried on <br /> roll call vote with three members voting "Aye," Mr. Shannon <br /> opposing because he questioned the need to defer item #4. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION, Defer action on amending subdivision regulations <br />Earl Haugen, County Planner, said the Cass County Planning Commission <br />held a public hearing at their last meeting, December 3rd, on proposed <br />amendments to Cass County Subdivision Regulations and proposed change <br />in the subdivision application fee schedule. He said the Planning <br />Commission passed a motion to table their recommendation for further <br />information on alternatives and the impact of a fee increase. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint suggested re- <br /> scheduling this item on the December 21st, 1992, Cass <br /> County Commission agenda and the County Planning Commission <br /> may provide further information. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. State's Attorney John Golf said he was <br /> contacted by Mr. Haugen after the County Planning <br /> Commission's last meeting because they apparently <br /> overlooked closing the public hearing. Mr. Wieland will <br /> write a letter to the Planning Commission Chair informing <br /> them that this item is re-scheduled for the December 21st <br /> County Commission meeting and suggesting they may wish to <br /> call a special meeting to close the public hearing and <br /> consider a recommendation to the County Commission. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Nora Lutheran Church Sunday School MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> permit for raffle for Nora Lutheran Church Sunday School on <br /> December 20 at Nora Lutheran Church, Gardner. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
