Minutes--September 8, 1992 909 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 8, 1992 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Gene Shannon, <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> minutes of the regular meeting of August 17, 1992, and the <br /> minutes of the special meeting of August 24, 1992, be <br /> approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda, adding the following items to the <br /> consent agenda: Sheriff Department out-of-state travel, <br /> Joint Dispatch Agreement, ratify Space and Planning <br /> Committee recommendations along with the actions of the <br /> Neighborhood Parking Study Committee already on the agenda; <br /> and approving the regular agenda as printed. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />PARK BOARD PROJECT AT ERIE, Commendation letter to Doug Anderson <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to give a <br /> letter of commendation to Doug Anderson of Arthur, ND, for <br /> his work in organizing volunteers to complete the cement <br /> sports pad at Brewer Lake. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel for Juvenile Detention staff <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve out <br /> of state travel for James Grimley and Renae Laske to attend <br /> the 2nd annual Juvenile/Corrections Conference August 24- <br /> 26, 1992, in Lincoln, Nebraska. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve out <br /> of state travel for Bev Bohn to Fergus Falls, MN on August <br /> 20, 1992; and for Leslie Johnson to Detroit Lakes, MN on <br /> August 28, 1992, for foster care placement staffing.
