Comm. Minutes--May 4, 1992 853 <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved <br />Mr. Wieland reviewed bills this month. Mr. Shannon asked about the <br />reimbursement to the Cass County Historical Society, and Mr. Wieland <br />said they are the only qualified historical organization in Cass <br />County eligible to receive historical society mill levy funds, <br />according to the State's Attorney's interpretation of the North Dakota <br />Century Code. Mr. Wieland said he did encourage the Cass County <br />Historical Society to consider giving some of the mill levy funds to <br />another agency in Cass County, and they are considering that. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve <br /> vouchers No. 36,059 through No. 37,062. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />26. <br /> <br />CHILD SUPPORT, FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT, SOCIAL SERVICES MEETING, SHERIFF <br />LAW ENFORCEMENT MUSEUM, HOME RULE HOTLINE, Committee reports <br />Mr. Risher referred to correspondence from the Regional Child Support <br />Enforcement Director regarding future space and planning. He asked <br />Earl Haugen to do a space study of county offices, and suggested that <br />this item be placed on the next agenda for information purposes. <br /> <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir and Disaster Emergency Services <br />Director Glenn Ellingsberg reported on the fuel tank replacement <br />project. Mr. Ellingsberg discussed EPA requirements with the State <br />Health Department and he is recommending removal of the gasoline tank <br />that was used at the Juvenile Justice Center parking lot for fueling <br />Sheriff Department vehicles and utilizing it at the Courthouse for the <br />back-up generator, if it can be re-used. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint said social service boards and county commissioners <br />from this region have been invited to a meeting on Tuesday, May 12th, <br />at the Juvenile Justice Center to discuss the concept of multi-county <br />social service districts. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert will attend a meeting at 8:00 AM on May 6th at the Regional <br />Training Center sponsored by the Law Enforcement Museum Committee. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said a Home Rule Hotline became <br />operational today and the telephone number is 241-JUNE. She said this <br />is an educational message about the Home Rule Charter to be voted upon <br />by Cass County voters in the June primary election. It provides an <br />opportunity for callers to leave their name and address if they want <br />to receive a copy of the charter. <br /> <br />27. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. <br /> file correspondence outlined <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />Shannon seconded to receive and <br /> by the secretary as follows: <br /> <br />letter of recognition from Fargo Heritage Society commending the <br />Commission's preservation efforts in remodeling the former <br />sheriff's residence; <br /> <br />Department of Transportation letter dated April 27, 1992, with <br />policy on special road fund, and letter dated April 30, 1992, <br /> <br /> <br />
