Comm. Minutes--April 6, 1992 836 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />OUT OF STATE TRAVEL, Approved for Social Services MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve out of <br /> state travel for Leslie Johnson to attend conferences to be <br /> held March 23, 1992, in Halstad, Minnesota and March 30, <br /> 1992, in Menahga, Minnesota. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DATA PROCESSING AGREEMENTS, New World Systems software maintenance, <br />U.S. Long Distance, Inc. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the <br /> Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to sign the <br /> Standard Software Maintenance Agreement between Cass County <br /> and New World Systems Corporation, as reviewed by the <br /> State's Attorney. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the <br /> Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to sign the <br /> telephone agreement with U.S. Long Distance, Inc., a <br /> Delaware Corporation, to provide long distance service to <br /> the pay phone in the south wing of the Cass County <br /> Courthouse. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CRIME STOPPERS, Budget payment MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br /> $3,000.00 to Red River Crime Stoppers for 1992, to be paid <br /> from the Crime Prevention line item in the Sheriff's <br /> Department budget. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1992-2, Funding and Mandates <br />Mr. Risher read draft resolution #1992-2 (Funding and Mandates), as <br />adopted at the National Association of Counties conference which he <br />recently attended in Washington, D.C. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to adopt the <br /> resolution on funding and mandates and forward a copy to <br /> respective legislators, both State and Federal. <br /> AMENDED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to amend the <br /> motion to include sending a copy of the resolution to the <br /> North Dakota Association of Counties' Resolutions Committee <br /> for their next meeting. On roll call vote, the amended <br /> motion carried unanimously. On roll call vote, the main <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE, Land acquisition in Eldred Township <br />A packet of information was supplied to all Commissioners after public <br />hearing held March 30, 1992, at Alice, ND on the proposed acquisition <br />of one-half section of land in Eldred Township by the U.S. Fish and <br />Wildlife Service (the Service). <br /> <br /> <br />
