OUT OF STATE TRAVEL, Approved for Social Services MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve out of state travel for Leslie Johnson to attend conferences to be held March 23, 1992, in Halstad, Minnesota and March 30, 1992, in Menahga, Minnesota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. DATA PROCESSING AGREEMENTS, New World Systems software maintenance, U.S. Long Distance, Inc. MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to sign the Standard Software Maintenance Agreement between Cass County and New World Systems Corporation, as reviewed by the State's Attorney. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to sign the telephone agreement with U.S. Long Distance, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, to provide long distance service to the pay phone in the south wing of the Cass County Courthouse. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. CRIME STOPPERS, Budget payment MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize $3,000.00 to Red River Crime Stoppers for 1992, to be paid from the Crime Prevention line item in the Sheriff's Department budget. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION #1992-2, Funding and Mandates Mr. Risher read draft resolution #1992-2 (Funding and Mandates), as adopted at the National Association of Counties conference which he recently attended in Washington, D.C. MOTION, passed Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to adopt the resolution on funding and mandates and forward a copy to respective legislators, both State and Federal. AMENDED MOTION, passed Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to amend the motion to include sending a copy of the resolution to the North Dakota Association of Counties' Resolutions Committee for their next meeting. On roll call vote, the amended motion carried unanimously. On roll call vote, the main motion carried unanimously. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE, Land acquisition in Eldred Township A packet of information was supplied to all Commissioners after public hearing held March 30, 1992, at Alice, ND on the proposed acquisition of one-half section of land in Eldred Township by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (the Service).
