Comm. Minutes--January 21, 1992 215 <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert reminded Commissioners of the Road Advisory Committee <br />meeting scheduled Thursday, January 23rd, at 3:30 PM at the County <br />Road Department. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint reported on the recent poverty conference held in <br />Fargo. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint said she has been working with Bonnie Johnson and Joyce <br />Schepp to prepare a commission policy manual, and a preliminary draft <br />will be ready in about two weeks. <br /> <br />Auditor Michael Montplaisir said a request for proposals was published <br />for senior citizen and historical mill levy funds, with a deadline for <br />applying being January 15th. <br /> <br />A proposed agreement with the Public Administrator was delayed, and <br />Chairman Wieland appointed a committee consisting of the portfolio <br />commissioners, County Court Judges, States Attorney, Marilyn <br />Hawkinson, Kathy Hogan and Ruth Ann Anderson from Social Services. <br />Mrs. Toussaint will take responsibility for scheduling a committee <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson reported that the State of North Dakota reimbursed Cass <br />County for 50% of the remodeling at the Juvenile Justice Center, <br />amounting to a return of $4,000. <br /> <br />Any tax dollars spent by Cass County for the December National <br />Association of Counties conference will be reimbursed from the pool <br />of funds established for paying the conference bills, according to <br />Bonnie Johnson. <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />letter from Senator Quentin Burdick regarding an inquiry he <br />received about a bridge in Sections 26-35, Normanna Township, <br />from the Chairman of the Normanna Township Board of Supervisors <br />(copy to County Engineer); <br /> <br />information from Vector Control Director Joel Young on <br />conference he plans to attend in Corpus Christi, Texas on March <br />14 - 19th; <br /> <br />letter to Cass County Road Department personnel commending those <br />employees who did the road work at Tower City; <br /> <br />letter from Joan K. McCormick, partner of LCM, Ltd., regarding <br />comprehensive land use plan (copy to County Planner); <br /> <br />- Customs Activity quarterly report from City of Fargo; <br /> <br />letter from Fargo Municipal Airport Authority thanking the Cass <br />County Weed Board and employees for the weed spraying efforts in <br />shelter belts around the airport; <br /> <br /> <br />
