NACO CONVENTION, EAST CENTRAL MEETING, JAIL STAFF GRIEVANCE UPDATE, <br />CDBG PROGRAM, VECTOR CONTROL PORTFOLIO, REDISTRICTING UPDATE, <br />Committee reports <br />Bonnie Johnson outlined events of the National Association of Counties <br />executive board meetings being held in Fargo this week. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said the East Central Commissioners Association is meeting <br />in Cooperstown December 9th, at 10:00 AM. Anyone wanting to ride with <br />him should call him before Monday morning. <br /> <br />An update on the jail staff grievance was scheduled for this date, but <br />Mr. Wieland said it is on hold until after the consultant completes <br />the county classification interviews. He will bring the topic up from <br />time to time for updates. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said he will contact Shirley Dykshoorn, Director of the <br />Office of Intergovernmental Assistance, about Cass County's concerns <br />on the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG). <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert questioned why he received a copy of a letter from the <br />Human Resources Department to Joel Young, Vector Control Director, <br />concerning the County's health insurance plan. Mr. Montplaisir said <br />he assumed Mr. Eckert is the Vector Control portfolio commissioner <br />because he has Weed Control and Road Department portfolios. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir reported on progress of reorganizing election precinct <br />boundary lines and said the deadline for completion is January 6, <br />1992. <br /> <br />20. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and <br />file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />copy of letter from State's Attorney appointing Wayne Solberg as <br />Special Assistant State's Attorney for purposes of collection of <br />unpaid taxes and special assessments by attaching rent from the <br />properties which have delinquent taxes owing pursuant to Chapter <br />57-22, NDCC; <br /> <br />copy of suggested road supply bid opening dates from the ND <br />Suppliers Committee (referred to County Engineer); <br /> <br />letter from North Dakota Association of Counties thanking Cass <br />County for helping make the 1991 convention a success; <br />
