Minutes--November 18, 1991 773 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> NOVEMBER 18, 1991 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order with all members <br />present as follows: Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Don Eckert, A]on <br />Wieland, Steve Risher and Gene Shannon. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes <br /> of the November 4, 1991, meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> order of agenda as amended to include a recommendation from <br /> the Human Resources Overview Committee and a request for <br /> commendation letter for Social Services. Motion carried. <br /> <br />UTILITY PERMITS, U.S. West Communications, Cass County Electric <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> utility permits for U.S. West Communications, Inc. to cross <br /> County Road #16 in Watson Township and for Cass County <br /> Electric Cooperative to cross Cass County Road #3 in Rich <br /> Township. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Closed November 29th and employees take vacation day <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> closing the Road Department on November 29th with all <br /> employees taking vacation, but will be available for snow <br /> emergencies. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION, Appointment of advisory member MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to appoint <br /> Mr. Wayne Freedland to serve the remaining one month of the <br /> vacant Planning Commission advisory member's term and <br /> appoint him to a full two year term beginning January 1, <br /> 1992. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WINTER AWARENESS DAY PROCLAMATION MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize <br /> the Chairman to sign a Winter Awareness Day Proclamation. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DISTRICT SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT BOARD APPOINTMENT MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to appoint <br /> Commissioner Steve Risher as Cass County's representative <br /> on the District Solid Waste Management Board.
