Minutes--October 21, 1991 764 <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS VARIANCE, Section 17, Pleasant Township <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of the County Planning Commission, <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Cass <br /> County Board of Commissioners hereby finds that a special <br /> circumstance exists, a recommendation by Pleasant Township, <br /> that the proposed division of land be granted a complete <br /> variance from the Subdivision Regulations of Cass County <br /> with the condition that the applicants, Dan and Augustin <br /> Trottier, replat the existing Auditor's Lot 1 in Section <br /> 17, Pleasant Township, so that it contains all the land to <br /> be divided. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPROACH REQUESTED ON COUNTY ROAD 17; FAIR ANNUAL MEETING; JAIL STAFF <br />OVERTIME; BRIDGE SETTLEMENT; HUMAN SERVICES; SENIOR CITIZEN COUNCIL, <br />Committee reports <br />Mr. Wieland received a letter from the Southeast Cass Water Resource <br />District asking Cass County to cooperate in the installation of an <br />approach to County Road 17 in the SE 1/4 of Section 6, Stanley <br />Township. Mr. Shannon asked Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eckert to review the <br />situation and place this item on the November 4th agenda. <br /> <br />Oscar Sondrall will be asked to represent Cass County at the North <br />Dakota State Fair annual meeting in Minot on November 6th, 1991, and <br />George Griffeth will be asked to serve as alternate. <br /> <br />A memo from Walt Willis regarding jail staff overtime will be reviewed <br />by the Human Resource Overview Committee with a recommendation to the <br />County Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert reported that Cass County was offered a settlement of <br />$6,000 from Farmers Union Insurance Companies for a bridge damaged in <br />July, 1990. The County Engineer thinks the bridge is worth about <br />$9,000, but it was the consensus of Commissioners to accept the <br />settlement of $6,000 as recommended by State's Attorney John Goff. <br />Mr. Eckert will notify Mr'. Goff of the Board's decision. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint reported on a meeting she attended in Bismarck <br />regarding the Department of Human Services state-wide planning <br />proposal. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert and Mr. Montplaisir met with the Cass County Council on <br />Aging earlier today.
