SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS VARIANCE, Section 17, Pleasant Township MOTION, passed Upon recommendation of the County Planning Commission, Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Cass County Board of Commissioners hereby finds that a special circumstance exists, a recommendation by Pleasant Township, that the proposed division of land be granted a complete variance from the Subdivision Regulations of Cass County with the condition that the applicants, Dan and Augustin Trottier, replat the existing Auditor's Lot 1 in Section 17, Pleasant Township, so that it contains all the land to be divided. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. APPROACH REQUESTED ON COUNTY ROAD 17; FAIR ANNUAL MEETING; JAIL STAFF OVERTIME; BRIDGE SETTLEMENT; HUMAN SERVICES; SENIOR CITIZEN COUNCIL, Committee reports Mr. Wieland received a letter from the Southeast Cass Water Resource District asking Cass County to cooperate in the installation of an approach to County Road 17 in the SE 1/4 of Section 6, Stanley Township. Mr. Shannon asked Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eckert to review the situation and place this item on the November 4th agenda. Oscar Sondrall will be asked to represent Cass County at the North Dakota State Fair annual meeting in Minot on November 6th, 1991, and George Griffeth will be asked to serve as alternate. A memo from Walt Willis regarding jail staff overtime will be reviewed by the Human Resource Overview Committee with a recommendation to the County Commission. Mr. Eckert reported that Cass County was offered a settlement of $6,000 from Farmers Union Insurance Companies for a bridge damaged in July, 1990. The County Engineer thinks the bridge is worth about $9,000, but it was the consensus of Commissioners to accept the settlement of $6,000 as recommended by State's Attorney John Goff. Mr. Eckert will notify Mr'. Goff of the Board's decision. Mrs. Toussaint reported on a meeting she attended in Bismarck regarding the Department of Human Services state-wide planning proposal. Mr. Eckert and Mr. Montplaisir met with the Cass County Council on Aging earlier today. Nothing further was decided because they are waiting for final regulations from the State of North Dakota. CORRESPONDENCE MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. letter from F-M Metropolitan Council of Governments about pedestrian crossing study on 10th Street South adjacent to the Courthouse;
