Comm. Minutes Special Meeting--September 18, 1991 749 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to treat the <br />County Coordinator position the same as other county <br />positions until the classification study is final and have <br />the salary budgeted at $37,500. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Other changes in the Commission budget are to reduce the request of <br />the Lake Agassiz Regional Council from $31,000 to $20,000. The <br />$40,000 budgeted for the filing system in basement was taken out and <br />phone security room line item was increased from $4,000 to $5,000. <br />Legal fees line item was reduced from $15,000 to $10,000. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />CEMETERY CARE, CUSTOMS SERVICE <br />The salary for the new sexton at Springvale Cemetery increased from <br />$50.00 to $100.00 per month. A new item for Survey work was budgeted <br />at $1,500. <br /> <br />The donation from Cass County for Customs Service remains at $8,000. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY HEALTH <br />Mr. Montplaisir said salaries have increased for Community Health. <br />The mill levy is down to 1.43 for 1992, compared to 1.48 for 1991. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />FAIR LEVY, HISTORICAL SOCIETY <br />The Red River Valley Fair levy request for 1992 is .57 mills, down <br />from .65 mills for 1991, but the dollar amount requested is the same. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to add a budget annotation <br />whereby 1992 mill levy funds for the Red River Valley Fair and for the <br />Cass County Historical Society will only be released with a lease <br />agreement in place relating to the use of the land and answering <br />liability questions and with a signed contract specifying how the <br />funds will be used. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon mentioned levying money in the General Fund for the Fair. <br />Mr. Montplaisir said the county can levy in the General Fund for the <br />Fair and Historical Society. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />COUNTY PARK <br />The Commissioners reviewed the County Park budget but made no changes. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />NEXT MEETING/ADJOURNMENT <br />The next budget meeting was scheduled for Monday, September 30, 1991, <br />at 7:30 AM in the Commission Room.
