Minutes--September 17, 1991 743 <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />COURT TRANSFER CASES, Agreement with City of Casselton MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize <br /> the Chairman to sign the "Agreement for Disposition of Fees <br /> on Municipal Transfer Cases with the City of Casselton." <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />SPRINGVALE CEMETERY, Appointment of sexton MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to accept the <br /> resignation of John Meyer as Sexton of Springvale Cemetery <br /> effective September 30, 1991, and commend him for his years <br /> of service. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to appoint <br /> Jeffrey Baer as Sexton of Springvale Cemetery at a monthly <br /> salary of $100 effective October 1, 1991. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />INSURANCE POLICY WITH BLUE CROSS-BLUE SHIELD, CompChoice 250 plan <br />The Benefits Committee met with representatives of Blue Cross-Blue <br />Shield and with a representative of the North Dakota Public Employees <br />Retirement System (NDPERS) to learn about health insurance options for <br />the 1992 fiscal year. If the County stayed with the current policy, <br />the employees' share of the premium would increase nearly 50% for <br />1992. The committee decided it was time to look at plans with higher <br />deductibles to offset increasing premiums. <br /> <br />At a meeting held Thursday, September 12th, the Benefits Committee <br />voted to recommend a plan to the County Commission called CompChoice <br />250 through Blue Cross-Blue Shield. This plan was also presented to <br />Cass County department heads at a meeting held September 16th, and the <br />plan was endorsed by them, according to Auditor Michael Montplaisir. <br /> <br />Deb Dahlsing from Blue Cross-Blue Shield pointed out the differences <br />in deductibles, co-insurance maximums and premiums between the current <br />policy and the CompChoice 250 plan. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to accept the <br /> Benefits Committee recommendation for the CompChoice 250 <br /> health insurance plan beginning January 1, 1992, as <br /> endorsed by County department heads. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS, Death of local citizen noted <br />Mr. Wieland informed fellow Commissioners of the death of a local <br />citizen, Arnold Lorentzsen, who dreamed of building a railroad around <br />the Red River Valley Fairgrounds and Bonanzaville. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />notice of North Dakota Solid Waste Management Conference in <br />Bismarck on October 9 and 10, 1991; <br /> <br /> <br />
