Minutes--August 19, 1991 720 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the <br />contract between Social Services and Fargo Community Health <br />for Home Health Aide Services be adjusted to reflect their <br />newly approved hourly rate of $12.00, effective September <br />1, 1991. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Employee request for medical leave of absence <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Gwen <br /> Berg-Nistler's leave of absence without pay be extended <br /> through August 19, 1991. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF DEPARTMENT, Out of state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> out of state travel for Lt. Walt Willis to attend a seminar <br /> in Rapid City, South Dakota, September 8-11, 1991. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />JAIL, Budget transfer for installation of air conditioning <br />Walt Willis, Chief Correctional Officer, said air conditioning wasn't <br />included in the recent, ongoing jail remodeling project; but a wall <br />unit isn't working properly and is in an area where circulation is <br />poor and the computer is located in this area. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to expend <br /> approximately $9,000 from the jail maintenance fund to <br /> improve air conditioning in the jail. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HUMAN RESOURCES, Overview committee; Policy manual adoption and <br />implementation <br />A Human Resource committee, appointed by the County Commission May 20, <br />1991, met earlier today and Mr. Shannon said it was the consensus of <br />the group to continue existence of the committee until the end of this <br />year, at which time there will be a review and possibly some input on <br />the Human Resource Department from the Cass County Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Concerning the proposed personnel policy manual, Mr. Shannon said the <br />Human Resource Committee recommends approval and implementation of the <br />new manual. Mr. Risher said he talked to Judith Cummings about some <br />questions the committee had earlier, and language in the manual does <br />not need to be changed. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to adopt the <br /> Personnel Policy Manual as written. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. Mr. Shannon said the <br /> implementation schedule will be coordinated by Scott <br /> Kildahl. <br /> <br />INTEGRATED COURT, PROSECUTOR, AND JAIL SOFTWARE <br />States Attorney John Golf, County Judge Frank Racek and Lt. Walt <br />Willis gave their views on an integrated software program, JALAN, that <br />was recently demonstrated to them. <br /> <br /> <br />
