Dilger of 410 Forest Avenue, Fargo, <br /> ND, as recommended by States Attorney John Goff. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />STATES ATTORNEY, Continuation of temporary secretary position <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to allow the States Attorney <br />to continue a temporary secretary position at minimum wage according <br />to board action earlier this year approving budget authorization for <br />the States Attorney to use roll-up funds from his salaries line item <br />that resulted from staff changes last December. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS, North Dakota Association of Counties seminar; <br />asbestos removal; Road Department audit update; East Central <br />Commissioners Association meeting; North Dakota County Commissioners <br />Association meeting; Sheriff residence brick repair; auction at Road <br />Department <br />Auditor Michael Montplaisir reported that Cass County had three <br />representatives at the National Association of Counties seminar in <br />Bismarck last week. Bonnie Johnson said she was scheduled to attend <br />a follow-up session three days this week but asked to cancel because <br />her work schedule will not permit her to be gone this week also. <br />There were no objections from the Commission to her canceling her <br />plans to attend this week's seminar in Bismarck. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said asbestos removal will begin this week from old <br />steam lines in the basement of the original courthouse. The <br />handicapped access doors will be closed about i 1/2 weeks until the <br />project is completed. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon said the Road Department audit committee met with Charles <br />Bailly and Company this week and, hopefully, will make a <br />recommendation to the Board at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said he contacted Barnes County and they will host the <br />next East Central Commissioners Association meeting on June 18th in <br />Valley City in conjunction with a State county officials event. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said officials from the North Dakota County Commissioners <br />Association will be meeting in Fargo at 11:00 AM on June 17th at the <br />Doublewood Inn to plan the State County Commissioners Convention being <br />held in Fargo this November. He invited all Cass County Commissioners <br />to attend the planning session. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said repair work has been done on the stone steps on <br />the west side of the former sheriff residence. Bricks on the <br />courthouse will be cleaned by the same company who did the repair work <br />on the steps. <br /> <br /> <br />
