LEGISLATIVE REPORT BY COMMISSIONER WIELAND, Kathy Hogan and Bonnie Johnson commended for their legislative efforts Mr. Wieland reported on pending legislation of interest to counties, and he commended social services director Kathy Hogan, county coordinator Bonnie Johnson and others in Cass County who have been working on legislation during this session. 20. BENEFITS COMMITTEE, Steve Risher to represent Commission MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to accept the resignation of Alon Wieland as Commission representative on the employee benefits committee and appoint Commissioner Steve Risher in his place. Motion carried. 21. COUNTY/CITY JOINT MEETINGS DISCUSSED Mr. Shannon asked the Commission to consider having an annual joint inter-jurisdictional meeting with Fargo and West Fargo rather than the traditional joint Cass/Fargo Commission meetings which were held on a semi-annual basis. The West Fargo City Commission had scheduled a meeting with Cass County earlier this year but they later cancelled it. Mr. Shannon will prepare a resolution for consideration at the next meeting. 22. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. memo from Michael Montplaisir that remodeling in the Auditor's Office began March 15th with proposed completion date being the end of April; letter from Scott Kildahl, Model Project Coordinator, concerning difficulties he is encountering with the public education portion of his contract and asking for full cooperation of all members of the commission since the Commission voted unanimously for Phase II of the model project; letter from Office of Intergovernmental Assistance regarding Community Development (CDBG) Awards and letter regarding changes in the 1991 CDBG Program Distribution Statement; letter from Robert G. Hoy informing the Sheriff and Commission that U.S. District Court dismissed action of Richard Stingl v. Donald Rudnick, Cass County, et. al.; copy of letter from Judge Frank Racek to data processing coordinator including a detailed, prioritized work plan; Personnel Action Report and Job Vacancy Report for month of February, 1991;
