Minutes--February 19, 1991 631 <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />CDBG UPDATE ON 1991 PROGRAM <br />Mr. Irv Rustad was present to give an update on Community Development <br />Block Grants and distributed copies to Commissioners on the CDBG <br />program for 1991. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEETING SCHEDULE, Finalized MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to schedule Cass <br /> County Commission meetings beginning at 3:30 PM the 1st and <br /> 3rd Monday of each month except when Monday is a holiday, <br /> the Commission will meet the next day (Tuesday) at 3:30 PM. <br /> On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Mr. Wieland reported that the joint meeting with West Fargo City <br />Commissioners scheduled on February 25, 1991 is canceled and will be <br />rescheduled at a later date. <br /> <br />He also asked about setting a date for the next Park Board meeting and <br />all were in agreement to schedule a meeting March 4, 1991 at 11:00 AM <br />in the Commission Room. <br /> <br />Also, he said the bill to the Fargo Police Department that was to be <br />held should be reduced by 50%. The funds Cass County pays the police <br />department should be reduced 50% for the year. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to void check <br /> #22622 for $2,125.00 and reduce the amount 50% and re-draw a new <br /> check in the amount of $1,062.50 to the Fargo Police Department. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence as outlined by the secretary as <br /> follows: CDBG letters dated February 6th and 8th regarding <br /> business application plan for Dak Tech, Inc., letter dated <br /> February 5th regarding Embden Sanitary Sewer Project, <br /> letter dated February 14th saying the Office of <br /> Intergovernmental Assistance approved the County's request <br /> for deferment of principal for two years for Town & Country <br /> Roll-Off Service, and a note from the County Auditor saying <br /> the County did receive the February payment from Town & <br /> Country Roll-Off Service; notice of Gethsemane Cathedral <br /> property closing date on February 27th and letter regarding <br /> Fargo Planning Commission's vote to recommend approval of <br /> County's request to vacate Ninth Street South; letter from <br /> P.M. Properties favoring the vacating of Ninth Street South <br /> and expressing interest in paying the County for night <br /> parking spaces on the former Gethsemane Cathedral property <br /> when finalized; Historical Society notice of board of <br /> directors meeting at 9:00 AM, February 21st, and notice of <br /> long-range planning meeting at 6:15 PM, February 27th; <br /> <br /> <br />
