Mr. Eckert said he and Engineer Don Richards have been setting up meetings to address some current concerns on roads adjacent to cities. He said they haven't addressed funding, and all were in favor of such a meeting with State Highway Department officials. County Auditor Michael Montplaisir said counties need to plan for redistricting after the state legislature sets their boundaries. Mr. Shannon asked the States Attorney to keep this in mind. I.A.C.P REVIEW, Meetin~ to be rescheduled Mr. Shannon said the I.A.C.P. review has been canceled on February 12th because Mr. Eckert will be gone. Sheriff Rudnick, Commissioners Wieland and Eckert are to reschedule it on a Monday or a Tuesday at 3:30 PM so everyone can be present. PUBLIC COMMENT, Marjorie Potter Marjorie Potter, co-publisher of the Cass County Reporter, addressed the commission during the public comment period. She said of all the recommendations of the Cass County Model report, legislation on home rule has already been proposed but she doesn't think there was much support for home rule by the model task force committees. She said there is much streamlining that can be done in county government without adopting home rule, and she urged the Commission to use the authority they already have before asking for more. Ms. Potter also questioned the way the county coordinator position was filled by the County Commission but said she has no objection to Bonnie Johnson being appointed because she has done a lot of coordination that needed to be done.
