Mr. <br />Eckert said he and Engineer Don Richards have been setting up meetings <br />to address some current concerns on roads adjacent to cities. He said <br />they haven't addressed funding, and all were in favor of such a <br />meeting with State Highway Department officials. <br /> <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir said counties need to plan for <br />redistricting after the state legislature sets their boundaries. <br />Mr. Shannon asked the States Attorney to keep this in mind. <br /> <br />I.A.C.P REVIEW, Meetin~ to be rescheduled <br />Mr. Shannon said the I.A.C.P. review has been canceled on February <br />12th because Mr. Eckert will be gone. Sheriff Rudnick, Commissioners <br />Wieland and Eckert are to reschedule it on a Monday or a Tuesday at <br />3:30 PM so everyone can be present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT, Marjorie Potter <br />Marjorie Potter, co-publisher of the Cass County Reporter, addressed <br />the commission during the public comment period. She said of all the <br />recommendations of the Cass County Model report, legislation on home <br />rule has already been proposed but she doesn't think there was much <br />support for home rule by the model task force committees. She said <br />there is much streamlining that can be done in county government <br />without adopting home rule, and she urged the Commission to use the <br />authority they already have before asking for more.
