Minutes--February 4, 1991 620 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 4, 1991 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order with four members <br />present as follows: Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Steve <br />Risher and Gene Shannon. Alon Wieland was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />Mr. Risher asked to amend the minutes of the January 21, 1991, meeting <br />under paragraph 11 changing the name of the Personnel Department to <br />Department of Human Resources, and correcting the spelling of the name <br />of the North Dakota Department of Human Services personnel officer, <br />Laurie Hammeren. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that minutes <br /> of the previous meetings of January 21 and January 28, <br /> 1991, be approved as corrected. Motion carried. <br /> <br />SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOT, City of Alice <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to allow the <br /> City of Alice to purchase County-owned property in the City <br /> of Alice; to cancel 1985 through 1990 general tax in the <br /> amount of $421.76; and authorize the Chairman of the County <br /> Commission and the County Auditor to sign the County Deed. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS, Approved for various boards MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> appointments listed below to various boards for terms which <br /> expired December 31, 1990. <br /> Discussion: Mr. Eckert asked to have his name withdrawn <br /> from the Solid Waste Advisory Council and suggested <br /> appointing Oscar Sondrall to that committee. Mr. Eckert <br /> said he would rather be appointed to the Vector Control <br /> Board· Mr. Shannon said he thinks the Solid Waste Advisory <br /> Council is an extension of Mr. Eckert*s portfolio of <br /> "planning," but he should bring this up another time. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION (advisory members) - 2 year terms <br />Terry Compson, Horace <br />Tom Fischer, RR, Fargo <br />Harvey Pyle, Casselton <br /> <br />SOLID WASTE ADVISORY COUNCIL <br />Don Eckert, Planning portfolio commissioner <br /> <br />MAPLE RIVER WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT - 3 year term <br />Wesley Beilke, Buffalo <br /> <br />SOUTHEAST CASS WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT - 3 year term <br />James R.
