Minutes--January 8, 1991 607 <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICE DIRECTOR, Six-month evaluation <br />Mr. Shannon asked Mrs. Toussaint to prepare a follow-up for the next <br />meeting on evaluation of Kathy Hogan, who is under contract with Cass <br />County as Social Services Director and who is nearing completion of <br />six months of employment with Cass County. Mrs. Toussaint welcomed <br />comments from other Commissioners prior to the next meeting. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEETING CHANGE, Media concern expressed <br />Steve Bergeson, WDAY-TV, said changing County Commission meeting dates <br />and time to the first and third Mondays of each month at 4:00 PM may <br />require citizens and members of the media to make a choice on whether <br />to attend County Commission meetings or Fargo Commission meetings. <br />The time will not be convenient for radio coverage, and choices will <br />have to be made for television coverage, he said. Mr. Risher said <br />consideration is being given to allowing media to access Commissioners <br />one-half hour before the meeting, but Mr. Bergeson said such briefings <br />are not official meetings. <br /> <br />Mr. Risher thought County Commission meetings would be the opposite <br />Mondays of City Commission meetings, and it was not his intent to <br />cause a conflict. However, the City of Fargo meets every two weeks <br />so there will be times, such as when there are five Mondays in a <br />month, when meetings will overlap.
