Hinutes--September 27, 1990 542 <br /> <br />BUDGET, Approved for 1991 <br />County Accountant Hike Hontplaisir presented the 1991 county budget <br />in final form for consideration of adoption by the Commission. He <br />said the budget will decrease property taxes by 3.63 mills, down <br />about $300,000 from 1990. The decrease is due to not budgeting for <br />emergency fund and not funding Community Survival Program. He said <br />there is about a 7% increase in the County Poor fund, partly due to <br />loss in State funding. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said a majority of county employees voted to retain <br />the same level of health insurance coverage as they are presently <br />receiving. The county budget includes a 14% increase over previous <br />years for health insurance, and county employees will also pay a <br />large share of the increase projected for January 1st. MOTION, passed <br /> Hrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Nieland seconded to adopt the <br /> 1991 County budget as outlined and discussed today.
