Comm, Ninutes--September 19, 1990 531 Hrs. Toussaint suggested combining the line items of Social Services Education/Seminars-Registration Fees with Education/Seminars as one line item. Jerry Skjonsby, Social Services Accountant, said this can be done if the matching fund ratio is the same for each, Foster care banquet and damages line items will be moved to the foster care budget. Hr. Sk3onsby wil'l review insurance for food stamps and security storage of food stamps. Hs. Hogan and Hr. Sk3onsby have done some research on reimbursement for an investigator position. Hr. Sk~onsby was asked to notify the Commission Office when the next meeting is scheduled on this topic. NOTION, passed Hrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt the Social Services budget as outlined with a dollar change of $29,928 in pro~ected revenues in the area of general assistance, SSI optional and SSI mandatory. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. EXTENSION SERVICE, Budget adopted Two half-time employees of the Extension Service apparently have not been covered under the North Dakota Public Employee's Retirement System, and NDPEES requires that they be members. Hr. Hontpiaisir and Hr. Riches are trying to determine the dollar impact and how to resolve this, Mr. Shannon asked Mr. Wieland to arrange a meeting with North Dakota State University Extension Service officials to explore the idea of contributing a certain amount of money to them based on a billing for services. Mr. Wieland is to keep the Commission posted on this item. MOTION, passed Hr. Eckert moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to adopted the Extension Service budget as presented for 1991.
