AHBULANCE SUBSIDY POLICY <br /> <br /> The Cass County Commission does support, by public subsidy, <br />Llfose ambulance services and first responder units in Cass County <br />ttla't are non-profit, community based volunteer services. The Cass <br />County Commission provides these subsidies to enable these <br />community based volunteer services to purchase equipment and <br />supplies, and for the training of volunteers. <br /> <br /> Ambulance services and first responder units seeking public <br />subsidy must submit a request to the County Commission by August <br />1st of each year. The request must include how the county subsidy <br />will supplement tile revenues raised through fees and other <br />community resources. Financial information including an audit, if <br />available, must also be submitted at the time of the request, The <br />minimum financial information must include~ revenue and expenditure <br />statement and balance sheet for the most current fiscal year, how <br />the previous yeats subsidy, if any, was used; and how local dollars <br />are raised for the volunteer service. Larger requests may be <br />required to furnish more extensive financial information. <br /> <br /> While Cass County does support, through subsidies provided <br />with property tax dollars, no~-proftt volunteer ambulance and first <br />responder services, it cannot guarantee that it will honor all <br />requests for funding.
