The Chairman asked Mr. Eckert to monitor this. <br /> <br />East Central Commissioners Association meeting scheduled for September <br />lOth was postponed to September 17 in Cooperstown. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S RESIDENCE, Junk stored inside may be fire hazard <br />A fire hazard may exist inside the unoccupied Sheriff's Residence, <br />adjacent to the Jail. It was inspected during buildings and grounds <br />budget review, and Mr. Shannon said there are old paint cans and other <br />debris in the building. He suggested that the Sheriff go through it <br />by the end of the month and remove any personal belongings left there, <br />and that the rest of it be cleared out in the next month. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Certificates of Compliance from State Department of Corrections <br /> for Jail and Juvenile Detention Center; Gethsemane Cathedral <br /> building committee concerning possible sale of property; State <br /> Historical Society on consideration of the Dahnke Site for <br /> nomination to National Register of Historic Places; copy of <br /> letter to Engineer Don Richards from North Dakota Division of <br /> Emergency Management regarding flood damage survey reports; <br /> Yeater Hennings Ruff, Architects, regarding County maintenance <br /> contract with Peterson Mechanical; request to park semi-tractor <br /> in County parking lot after 5:00 p.m. weekdays; Office of <br /> Intergovernmental Assistance regarding CDBG funds for Embden <br /> Sanitary Sewer Project; letters on behalf of Concerned Citizens <br /> for Clean Water, regarding Sawyer, ND landfill; copy of letter <br /> from Cheryl and Mark Sorenson to Stanley Township Supervisors <br /> regarding Forest River Estates; Bureau of the Census information <br /> to designated liaison; State Health Department regarding Section <br /> 319 funds for water quality projects; letter from Senator Kent <br /> Conrad regarding synthetic fuels industry symposium; copy of <br /> memo from city of Fargo regarding policy on copying charges; <br /> memos from National Association of Counties regarding pending <br /> bills, solid waste landfills and incinerators; revised Personnel <br /> Action Report for June; minutes from Bonanzaville Blue Ribbon <br /> Panel for July 10, 24, 30 and August 6 and 13, 1990; minutes of <br /> Cass County Historical Society from July 10 and 23, 1990, and <br /> June 28 committee meeting. Hotion carried. <br /> <br />COPYING FEES, Department heads sub,est standard rate <br />Department heads suggested a standard fee throughout the County for <br />copying records, according to States Attorney Bob Hoy. Mr. Shannon <br />plans to include this in a proposed 1991 Commission work plan. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />On motion by Mrs. Toussaint and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the Chairman <br />declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
