Mike Montp]aisir said the States Attorney asked him to inform the Commission that he is drafting agreements on the Community Survival Program and an agreement between the abstract company and Register of Deeds. Motion carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS, Riverdale Centennial, Fair, Erie Dam/Brewer Lake, Detox, East Central/legislative meetin9 conflict Hr. Sondrall contacted Dakota Monument about engraving a stone for the Riverdale Centennial project at an estimated cost of $100. Hr. Sondrall reported on the success of the Red River Valley Fair this year, and he said many people have been using the facilities at Brewer Lake near Erie, ND. No one heard anything further on the conflict of meetings between East Central Commissioners Association and a legislative meeting, both scheduled for September 10. Mr. Shannon asked Mr. Eckert about a letter the Commission received at an earlier meeting from Fargo Mayor Jori Lindgren regarding a meeting held at Centre, Inc. to discuss the detox issue. Mr. Eckert said he and Commissioner Wieland met with the Mayor and several other people for a short discussion on the county and city being involved with Centre on the detox issue. Mr. Shannon said a document is on file on the history of detox where the County tried to engage the City of Fargo. Mr. Eckert said he will sit down for discussion anytime, but he would not make any decision without approval of the Commission. COURTHOUSE WEST ENTRANCE REMODELING, Bid awarded to T.F. Powers D.C. Trautman, T.F. Powers Construction, MinKo Construction and Lee Jones & Son submitted bids for entrance remodeling. Architect Irv Holman and Auditor Brua left the room to publicly open the bids. NOTION, passed Upon recommendation of the architect, Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to accept the apparent low bid of $16,800 from T.F. Powers Construction Company for the Courthouse entrance remodeling. It is the intent of the Commission that this work be done as soon as possible, Mr. Eckert suggesting within two months time. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT On motion by Mr. Sondrall and seconded by Mrs. Toussaint, the Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
