Mike Montp]aisir said the <br />States Attorney asked him to inform the Commission that he <br />is drafting agreements on the Community Survival Program <br />and an agreement between the abstract company and Register <br />of Deeds. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS, Riverdale Centennial, Fair, Erie Dam/Brewer Lake, <br />Detox, East Central/legislative meetin9 conflict <br />Hr. Sondrall contacted Dakota Monument about engraving a stone for <br />the Riverdale Centennial project at an estimated cost of $100. <br /> <br />Hr. Sondrall reported on the success of the Red River Valley Fair <br />this year, and he said many people have been using the facilities at <br />Brewer Lake near Erie, ND. <br /> <br />No one heard anything further on the conflict of meetings between <br />East Central Commissioners Association and a legislative meeting, <br />both scheduled for September 10. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon asked Mr. Eckert about a letter the Commission received <br />at an earlier meeting from Fargo Mayor Jori Lindgren regarding a <br />meeting held at Centre, Inc. to discuss the detox issue. Mr. Eckert <br />said he and Commissioner Wieland met with the Mayor and several other <br />people for a short discussion on the county and city being involved <br />with Centre on the detox issue. Mr. Shannon said a document is on <br />file on the history of detox where the County tried to engage the City <br />of Fargo. Mr. Eckert said he will sit down for discussion anytime, <br />but he would not make any decision without approval of the Commission. <br /> <br />COURTHOUSE WEST ENTRANCE REMODELING, Bid awarded to T.F. Powers <br />D.C. Trautman, T.F. Powers Construction, MinKo Construction and Lee <br />Jones & Son submitted bids for entrance remodeling. Architect Irv <br />Holman and Auditor Brua left the room to publicly open the bids. <br /> NOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of the architect, Mr. Eckert moved and <br /> Mr. Sondrall seconded to accept the apparent low bid of <br /> $16,800 from T.F. Powers Construction Company for the <br /> Courthouse entrance remodeling. It is the intent of the <br /> Commission that this work be done as soon as possible, Mr. <br /> Eckert suggesting within two months time. On roll call <br /> vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />On motion by Mr. Sondrall and seconded by Mrs. Toussaint, the <br />Chairman declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
