Hinutes--July 17, 1990 488 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, TemPorary position created MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondra]] moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to create a <br /> temporary Eligibility Specialist I position for the <br /> remainder of 1990 to be reviewed at the first meeting in <br /> December. On roll ca]] vote, motion carried unanimous]y. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS, Horace Planning & Zoning Commission, Fargo Plannin~ <br />County Planner Earl Haugen said Hike Lavelle did not seek reappoint- <br />merit as an extraterritorial member to the Horace Planning Commission. <br />One application for the position was received from Dollie Becklund. <br /> <br />Donald Puetz submitted an application for appointment to the Fargo <br />Planning Commission. Mr. Haugen said Earlyne Hector does not reside <br />in Fargo's extraterritorial area and should not be reappointed. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondra]] moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to appoint <br /> Do]lie A. Beck]und to Horace Planning & Zoning Commission <br /> to rep]ace Michael Lave]]e and to appoint Donald Puetz to <br /> Fargo Planning Commission to rep]ace Ear]yne Hector for <br /> terms expiring July 1, 1995. On roll ca]] vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, County Road 4 grading bids <br />County Engineer Don Richards read the bid advertisement for grading <br />and incidentals on Cass County Road ~4 from Cass County Road #5 east <br />eight miles to State Highway #18. Hr. Richards and County Auditor <br />Ordelle Brua left the room to open and review bids received from <br />Strom Construction, Lien Construction and Schipper Construction. The <br />Chairman invited any members of the public to attend also. <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY MODEL, Update <br />September 18 is the target date for first preliminary report from the <br />Cass County Model task force, according to Scott Kildahl. He said <br />there will be a survey for citizens input, and a public meeting will <br />be held about the week of August 20. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY FOCUS '89, Human Services Assessment Report <br />Ronald Volden, President of United Way of Cass-Clay, offered to meet <br />with other agencies such as Social Services to discuss details of a <br />human service needs study, Community Focus '89, which is on file. <br /> <br />Hr. Shannon said the commission tried to engage United Way of Cass- <br />Clay 'last year during budget sessions but were less than successful. <br /> <br />SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS, Resignation MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondra]] moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive <br /> and file letter of resignation from Joyce Ho]m, County <br /> Superintendent of Schools, effective August 31, 1990; and <br /> refer it to liaison Commissioners Toussaint and Sondra]] <br /> for review with the States Attorney and Cass County Mode] <br /> task force, and report back to the County Commission. On <br /> roll ca]] vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
