Comm. Minutes--June 19, 1990 476 10. 11. 12. ROAD AND STREET REPAIR FUNDS, Annual payment to Davenport MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Eckert seconded to approve disbursement of annual road and street repair funds to the City of Davenport in the amount of $408. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SONDRALL FAMILY, Resolution of condolence MOTION, passed Hrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Eckert seconded to adopt a resolution of condolence to Oscar and Vi Sondrall, on the loss of their son, on behalf of the Commission and the citizens of Cass County. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. AGENDA AMENDED, Treasurer's announcement MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to amend the regular agenda to include an announcement from Maxine Liversage, County Treasurer. Motion carried. RESIGNATION OF COUNTY TREASURER, Appointment of successor delayed Haxine Liversage, County employee for 39 years of which 17 were as County Treasurer, appeared before the board and read her 'letter of resignation effective August 1, 1990. She urged the County Commission to appoint Carol Harrington, Deputy Treasurer, to serve the remainder of her term which ends the first Monday in Hay, 1991. A letter from the States Attorney, dated June 19, 1990, informed the County Commission of the procedure to follow to fill the position being vacated by Maxine Liversage. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to reluctantly receive and file the letter Of resignation from the County Treasurer, and prepare a letter commending Haxine Liversage for her years of service to Cass County, this to be forwarded to her at the appropriate time. Motion carried. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to delay a final decision on appointment of a successor to Maxine Liversage until the first meeting in July, and appropriately place it on the agenda for consideration and recommendation by the liaison commissioners and the chairman at that time. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. CASS COUNTY MODEL UPDATE, Training sessions sanctioned Scott Kildahl is impressed with cooperation of the task force members and cooperation and with receiving good resource material from people of the County. He said it is imperative to include management training for all of these people. Geoff Riches, Personnel Director, said management training is a good first step of on-going training for supervisors, managers and county employees in general.
