Comm. Minutes--June 19, 1990 476 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />ROAD AND STREET REPAIR FUNDS, Annual payment to Davenport <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> disbursement of annual road and street repair funds to the <br /> City of Davenport in the amount of $408. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SONDRALL FAMILY, Resolution of condolence MOTION, passed <br /> Hrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Eckert seconded to adopt a <br /> resolution of condolence to Oscar and Vi Sondrall, on the <br /> loss of their son, on behalf of the Commission and the <br /> citizens of Cass County. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDED, Treasurer's announcement MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to amend the <br /> regular agenda to include an announcement from Maxine <br /> Liversage, County Treasurer. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESIGNATION OF COUNTY TREASURER, Appointment of successor delayed <br />Haxine Liversage, County employee for 39 years of which 17 were as <br />County Treasurer, appeared before the board and read her 'letter of <br />resignation effective August 1, 1990. She urged the County <br />Commission to appoint Carol Harrington, Deputy Treasurer, to serve <br />the remainder of her term which ends the first Monday in Hay, 1991. <br /> <br />A letter from the States Attorney, dated June 19, 1990, informed the <br />County Commission of the procedure to follow to fill the position <br />being vacated by Maxine Liversage. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to <br /> reluctantly receive and file the letter Of resignation from <br /> the County Treasurer, and prepare a letter commending <br /> Haxine Liversage for her years of service to Cass County, <br /> this to be forwarded to her at the appropriate time. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to delay a final <br /> decision on appointment of a successor to Maxine Liversage until <br /> the first meeting in July, and appropriately place it on the <br /> agenda for consideration and recommendation by the liaison <br /> commissioners and the chairman at that time. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY MODEL UPDATE, Training sessions sanctioned <br />Scott Kildahl is impressed with cooperation of the task force members <br />and cooperation and with receiving good resource material from people <br />of the County. He said it is imperative to include management <br />training for all of these people. <br /> <br />Geoff Riches, Personnel Director, said management training is a good <br />first step of on-going training for supervisors, managers and county <br />employees in general. <br /> <br /> <br />
