MOTZON, passed Hr. Eckert moved and Hr. Wieland seconded that the County Weed Control Board be authorized to hire six to eight seasonal employees at the salaries outlined in the job descriptions. Discussion: Hr. Shannon said there is some redundancy here in that the approved budget includes part-time staff, When the next budget is prepared and reviewed, he suggested approving budget items with the idea that department heads can proceed without further approval, On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Wieland requested a special meeting of the Cass County Social Services Board at 8:00 a.m. on Hatch 27 in the Commission Room and reduce the agenda to only one or two essential items; providing there is a quorum. Hr. Shannon asked what the essential items are, and Geoff Riches said the Comprehensive Human Service Plan needs to be approved and submitted to the State Human Services Department. He said it is overdue. The States Attorney said there is no statutory date when it has to be submitted to the State, Hr. Riches said he would also like to give an update on the Position Information Questionnaires for positions recently vacated by Tom Jensen and Paul Coughlin.
