Minutes--Hatch 6, 1990 435 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />A(~EHDA, Amende~ MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to amend the <br /> regular agenda to include another out of state travel item <br /> as requested by the Sheriff. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT APPROVED, Shei]a and Dwight Hinkel MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve <br /> application for abatement and settlement of taxes submitted <br /> by Sheila and Dwight Hinkel and as recommended by the City <br /> of Reiles Acres and the Director of Equalization. On roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT DENIED, Horace Development Ltd. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to reject the <br /> application for abatement and settlement of taxes submitted <br /> by Horace Development Ltd. as recommended by the City of <br /> Horace and the Director of Equalization. Mr. Klein said he <br /> reviewed his recommendation with a principal of the <br /> property, Don Goerger, and he understands the County's <br /> position. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT APPROVED, Charles and Rosalyn Krumwiede MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the <br /> application for abatement and settlement of taxes submitted <br /> by Charles and Rosalyn Krumwiede and as recommended by <br /> Stanley Township and the Director of Equalization. On roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DETOX ISSUE, Behavioral Healthcare Center proposal <br />Mr. Kent Farr, President/CEO of Behavioral Healthcare Centers, <br />stressed an interest in developing a community-wide medical/social <br />detoxification center at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead to serve the <br />cities of Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo, the counties of Cass and <br />Clay, and'surrounding counties and cities needing the service. Based <br />upon 1,000 clients, Mr. Fart estimated total expenses per client of <br />$475.94. He offered to make arrangements for a representative of the <br />Hinnesota Department of Human Services in St. Paul to meet with <br />officials in this area to talk about their experiences with <br />detoxification. <br /> <br />Hr. Wieland suggested appointing a group within Cass County including <br />a County Judge, the jail physician, representatives from the <br />Sheriff's Department, the jail, States Attorney and County Commission <br />to discuss the County's position. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon said he intends to have a mission statement and be sure <br />the right entities are included in any di.scussions before the County <br />would proceed with any assistance. <br /> <br /> <br />
