Minutes--February 6, 1990 427 <br /> <br />37. <br /> <br />38. <br /> <br />1he Chairman said the previous motion could be reconsidered. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr, Wieland moved and Mr, Sondrall seconded to reconsider <br /> the previous motion to approve the agreement ¢or <br /> administrative services between Cass County and the vector <br /> control district; and to amend it subject to the employment <br /> agreement being signed by Joel Young and the vector control <br /> district. <br /> Discussion: From a legal perspective, Mr. Hoy said he was <br /> trying to avoid the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards <br /> Act by allowing a monthly salary instead of paying on an <br /> hourly basis, He also agreed with Mr. Wieland that the <br /> County does not have control over the vector control board, <br /> unless the County disbands it, Mr. Eckert said he would <br /> agree to the motion at this time so that Mr. Young can be <br /> paid and on the grounds that the situation be reviewed <br /> periodically, At the call for the question and upon roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HISTORICAL SOCIETY, Question on progress of forming committee <br />During the public comment period, Lila Hutchinson asked for the <br />status of the proposed nine-member committee to look at issues <br />involving Bonanzaville. Mr. Shannon said the first step has been <br />taken in that he received a call from Darrol Schroeder, President of <br />the Cass County Historical Society, and he met with him since the <br />last meeting.
