Comm. Hinutes--JANUARY 16, 1990 410 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMHISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 16, 1990 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order With all members <br />present as follows: Oscar Sondrall, Alon Wieland, Don Eckert, Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint, and Gene Shannon. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />Mr. Shannon asked that the minutes of the previous meeting be amended <br />to reflect that it was a suggestion that Planning Commission meetings <br />be held prior to County Commission meetings the first Tuesday of each <br />month. He said it would be to that group's advantage to have access <br />to the full Commission at their meetings since their work corresponds <br />with that of the County Commission. HOTZON, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve <br /> the minutes of the previous meeting as amended. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />3. PERSONNEL DIRECTOR SELECTION COMMITTEE, Staff commendation <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to send a <br /> letter of commendation to the members of the personnel <br /> director selection committee for their work in recommending <br /> a personnel director of Cass County. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. STATES ATTORNEY, Staff commendation MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wteland seconded to send a <br /> letter of commendation to Robert Hoy, States Attorney, for <br /> his successful efforts in the tax case of Riverview Place. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Kindred Lion's Club MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> the application for a raffle permit for the Kindred Lion's <br /> Club on March 24, 1990, at the Kindred Public School. <br /> Hotion carried. <br /> <br />6. SOCIAL SERVICES, ~irector's work Dlan MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> the Social Services Director's work plan. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. AGENDA AMENDED, Sheyenne Diversion and Emerqency 911 co~rac~ <br />The Chairman received requests to amend today's agenda to accommodate <br />two items, a Road Department contract involving the Sheyenne <br />Diversion pro~ect and a contract approved by the City of Fargo <br />regarding emergency 911. MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to amend the <br /> agenda to include the above two items at the times <br /> specified by the Chairman.
