MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Dot} Eckert called the meeting to or-der with all members <br />pf'esent as follows: Oscar Sondr-al'l, Alon Wieland, Don Eckert, Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint, and Gene Sha~nor~. <br /> <br />2. HINUTES APPROVED NOTZON, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Hr. Wieland seconded that the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting be approved as written. Hotion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />3. COHHISSION CHAIRMAN FOR 1990, Shannon appointed NOTZON, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to appoint <br /> Commissioner Gene Shannon as Chairman of the Cass County <br /> Commission for 1990. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. COMMISSION VICE CHAIRMAN FOR 1990, Wieland appointed <br /> MOT~ON, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to appoint <br /> Alon Wieland as Vice Chairman of the Cass County Commission <br /> for 1990. With respect to Commissioner Wieland's talents <br /> and interests in County government, Mr. Shannon asked Mrs. <br /> Toussaint to consider being appointed Vice Chairman because <br /> of the rotation procedure the Commission has followed. She <br /> declined because she said that being Chairman of the Social <br /> Services Board will involve a lot of her time this year. <br /> Mr. Sondrall suggested changing the rotation next year if <br /> Mr. Wieland does not wish to be appointed Chairman at that <br /> time. At the call for the question, the motion carried. <br /> <br />5, COMMISSION ISSUES FOR 1990, Chairman to provide overview <br />Chairman Shannon said he will provide a short overview for the next <br />meeting of issues facing county government in the next year'. <br /> <br />6. PLEDGES OF ASSETS AND BANK DEPOSITORIES, Approved NOTXON, passed <br /> Hr.
