Comm, Minutes--September 5, 1989 323 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that <br />Abatement #3905, submitted by Lloyd and Ann Jasper for <br />property in Reed Township be approved as presented and upon <br />recommendation of the County Director of Equalization. Hr. <br />Sondrall asked if this is agreeable with Reed Township, and <br />Hr. Klein stated that they have valued the property at <br />$12,000 for the 1989 assessment. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. ABATEMENT HEARING, Thorpe <br />A hearing was held on application for abatement and settlement of <br />taxes submitted by Stephanie Thorpe for property in Stanley Township. <br />The Stanley Township Board recommended that the abatement be approved <br />as submitted, which is to reduce the valuation from $115,000 to <br />$76,100, due to depreciation of the property. NOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded that Abatement <br /> ~3906, submitted by Stephanie Thorpe be approved as <br /> presented and upon recommendation of the County Director of <br /> Equalization and the Stanley Township Board. On roll call <br /> vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. TAX EQUALIZATION DIRECTOR, Out of state travel MOTION, passed <br /> Upon the request of Frank Klein, Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. <br /> Toussaint seconded to grant permission for out of state <br /> travel to Mr. Klein to attend the International Conference <br /> on Assessment Administration at Fort Worth, Texas, on <br /> September 24-27, 1989. Hr. Shannon asked for a brief <br /> update on the conference after Hr. Klein returns. <br /> <br />10. ROAD AND STREET REPAIR FUNDS, Approved MOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of the County Engineer, Mr. Shannon <br /> moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to forward Pothole and <br /> Street Repair Funds to the following cities: Casselton-- <br /> $3,484, Tower City--$493, Amenia--$209, and Page--S452. On <br /> roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. CASS COUNTY ELECTRIC, Utility permit MOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of the County Engineer, Mr. Sondrall <br /> moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to grant a utility permit <br /> to Cass County Electric to place an overhead power line on <br /> the outside one foot of County Road 2 right of way in <br /> Section 21, Dows Township. Motion carried. <br /> <br />12. UNITED CABLE MANAGEMENT, Utility permit MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Hr. Shannon seconded to allow United <br /> Cable Hanagement, Inc. of Grand Forks to bury a segment of <br /> cable south of Horace on the west side of County Road 14, <br /> as recommended by the County Engineer with the provision <br /> that they bore through any asphalt surfaced approaches. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
