SOCIAL SERVICES, Homemaker Coordinator position
Ruth Ann Anderson, Supervisor of Adult Services of the County Social
Services Department, was present regarding her memo to Chairman Don
Eckert, dated July 28th, requesting approval to upgrade and reclassify
a position that will be vacant at the end of August from Homemaker III
to a Social Worker I or II depending upon the action of Central
Personnel. Mrs. Toussaint referred to the Social Service Board minutes
pertaining to reclassifying this position and felt that Ms. Anderson
should bring this back to the County Social Service Board after
Central Personnel determines whether it will be a Social Worker I or
II.

Mrs. Toussaint stated that the Social Service Board minutes are not
always clear and not all inclusive of Board action, especially
recently. She has attempted to make corrections as a Social Service
Board member, and she cited an example where it was not reflected in
their minutes that the Social Service Board agreed that the County
Commission should evaluate Director Tom Jensen because of the time
frame.
MOTION, passed
Hr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to adopt the
recommendation of the County Social Service Board for
reclassifying a Homemaker Ill position to a Social Worker,
subject to the Social Service Board agreeing with Central
Personnel on whether the grade should be a Social Worker 1
or ll. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
In answer to Ms. Anderson's question on clarification of
the motion, Mrs. Toussaint informed her that she needs to
go back to the County Social Service Board after the grade
is set by Central Personnel.
