Comm. Minutes--May 16, 1989 256 <br /> <br />23. PERMIT FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Multiple Sclerosis Society <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to approve the <br /> request for a Site Authorization Permit for the National <br /> Hultiple Sclerosis Society-Dakota Chapter to conduct games <br /> of chance at the Lower 48 in Wild Rice for the period of <br /> Hay 22, 1989 through June 30, 1989. On roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />24. OFFICER'S REPORTS, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and <br /> file Officer's Reports for April, 1989. Motion carried. <br /> <br />25. LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive <br /> and file the Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Joel <br /> Bishop and the Cass County Deputies Association, and <br /> authorize the Auditor to issue duplicate checks. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />26. CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING WARRANT-CHECKS <br />A letter was received from County Treasurer Maxine Liversage <br />requesting cancellation of outstanding warrant-checks to clear their <br />records. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to cancel <br /> outstanding warrant-checks which are at least one year old, <br /> according to a list furnished by the Treasurer. Every <br /> attempt had been made to locate the holders of these <br /> warrant checks, according to the Treasurer. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />27. ATLAS OF CASS COUNTY, Pqrchase Price set MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to sell County <br /> Atlases for $46.00 each, as recommended by Auditor Ordelle <br /> Brua. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />28. SALARY STUDY/PERSONNEL POLICY REVIEW, Eide Helmeke bill <br />The County Auditor again presented a bill from Eide Helmeke Company <br />in the amount of $2,254.00 which includes payment of $1,750 for Bob <br />Black's report on the salary study, and $504.00 for review of the <br />County's personnel policies. Chairman Eckert stated that he <br />understood that the $504.00 was to review the sick leave policy with <br />counsel, and Mrs. Toussaint felt this should be part of the contract. <br /> <br />Robert Hoy stated that the County's 12 member Personnel Policy Review <br />Committee used Bob Black's grading system at the start of their <br />process but there was not a whole lot else that was useful, in <br />Mr. Hoy's opinion. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hfs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Shannon seconded to pay Eide <br /> Helmeke $1,750.00 which will complete the County's portion <br /> of the contract for the Bob Black Report. On roll call <br /> vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
