Comm. Minutes--May 16, 1989 256 23. PERMIT FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Multiple Sclerosis Society MOTION, passed Hr. Wieland moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to approve the request for a Site Authorization Permit for the National Hultiple Sclerosis Society-Dakota Chapter to conduct games of chance at the Lower 48 in Wild Rice for the period of Hay 22, 1989 through June 30, 1989. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 24. OFFICER'S REPORTS, Received and filed MOTION, passed Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file Officer's Reports for April, 1989. Motion carried. 25. LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Joel Bishop and the Cass County Deputies Association, and authorize the Auditor to issue duplicate checks. Motion carried. 26. CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING WARRANT-CHECKS A letter was received from County Treasurer Maxine Liversage requesting cancellation of outstanding warrant-checks to clear their records. MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to cancel outstanding warrant-checks which are at least one year old, according to a list furnished by the Treasurer. Every attempt had been made to locate the holders of these warrant checks, according to the Treasurer. Motion carried. 27. ATLAS OF CASS COUNTY, Pqrchase Price set MOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to sell County Atlases for $46.00 each, as recommended by Auditor Ordelle Brua. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 28. SALARY STUDY/PERSONNEL POLICY REVIEW, Eide Helmeke bill The County Auditor again presented a bill from Eide Helmeke Company in the amount of $2,254.00 which includes payment of $1,750 for Bob Black's report on the salary study, and $504.00 for review of the County's personnel policies. Chairman Eckert stated that he understood that the $504.00 was to review the sick leave policy with counsel, and Mrs. Toussaint felt this should be part of the contract. Robert Hoy stated that the County's 12 member Personnel Policy Review Committee used Bob Black's grading system at the start of their process but there was not a whole lot else that was useful, in Mr. Hoy's opinion. MOTION, passed Hfs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Shannon seconded to pay Eide Helmeke $1,750.00 which will complete the County's portion of the contract for the Bob Black Report. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
