Mr · Hoy stated that the County Board canno ~. ap[)oi nt <br />someone unless there is a vacancy. Hr. Wieland asked if ti~e.~ ~, is one <br />Commissioner wi 11 ing to serve i~ this capacity and Hr'. So~rdr'al 1 <br />it~dicated that he will serve if tt~at is tire Commission's wisl~es, but <br />he preferred to have Mrs. Stanto~ continue. <br /> <br />Mr'. Eckert was aware of a new la~.¢ wher'eby cout}ties, i~st.e~:'*~r't <br />State Health Department, will appoint member's to the Vect~.>~ Control <br />District Board. He assumed this will be effective Jul), 1st. <br /> NOT_TON, passed <br /> On the vacancies of the Southeast Human Service Center- and <br /> the Vector Control District., Hrs. Toussaint moved <br /> Hr. Shannon seconded to delay the matter until the ne×t <br /> meeting and until the States Attorney has time to review <br /> it. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD, Vaca~cy <br />A letter was received from the Housi~rg Authority of C,~s County <br />informing the Commission of the ~esignation of LaVonne Se'lberg from <br />that Board· Hrs. Toussaint suggested delaying the appointment until <br />the next meeting, and get the wot'd out to the public that a vacancy <br />exists. Mr. Sondrall will contact George Griffeth, who indicated an <br />interest in this board the last time there was a vacancy. <br /> <br />8. RESOLUTION ¢1989-8, County Road designation MOT~ON, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Hr. Wieland seconded to adopt <br /> Resolution No. 1989-8, as presented by County Engineer" Don <br /> Richards, affirming the designation of a segment of road <br /> between County road 31 south at its junction with County <br /> Road 22 and the centerline of the Red River of the North, <br /> a distance of approximately 0.218 miles as a County road <br /> and respectfully requesting that this segment of road be <br /> designated by the State of North Dakota and the Federal <br /> Highway Administration to be on the Federal Aid System to <br /> be known as FAS 0955 Spur. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. ROAD DEPARTMENT, County Road 9 <br />Don Richards requested approval for the designation of a segment of <br />roadway beginning at the west 1/4 corner common to Section,s 31 & 32, <br />Durbin Township, and extending southerly for a distance of <br />approximately 2 1/2 miles between Sections 5 and 6 and Sections 7 and <br />8, Addison Township, to the junction with Cass County Road 6, as a <br />part of Cass County Road 9. <br /> <br />Mr. Richards also requested the Commission to redesignate as a <br />township road, that segment formerly designated as OR9, beginning at <br />the said west 1/4 corner common to the said sections 31 and 32, <br />Durbin Township, thence extending east and south along the centerline <br />of the said road to the southeast corner of Section 32 and thence <br />southerly between Sections 4 and 5 and Sections 8 and 9, Addison <br />Township, to its junction with County Road 6. <br /> <br /> <br />
