Comm. Minutes--April 18, 1989 231 <br /> <br />States Attorney Robert Hoy indicated that the resolutions drafted by <br />Attorney Daniel Twichell appear to be in proper form and if the <br />County Commission is willing to create this district and set the <br />project in motion, he could see no reason that the resolutions should <br />not be executed. Mr. Wieland asked Randy Herman about opposition to <br />the project among home owners, and Hr. Herman stated that five did <br />not sign the petition but he felt that only two of the five could be <br />considered in opposition. MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Hr. Shannon seconded that the <br /> Chairman be authorized to sign the following: RESOLUTION <br /> CREATING STREET IHPROVEHENT DISTRICT NO. 1989-1 OF THE <br /> COUNTY OF CASS, NORTH DAKOTA; RESOLUTION DIRECTING ENGINEER <br /> TO PREPARE REPORT; RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND <br /> SPECIFICATIONS FOR IHPROVEHENTS IN STREET IHPROVEHENT <br /> DISTRICT NO. 1989-1; RESOLUTION DIRECTING ENGINEER TO <br /> PREPARE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS; RESOLUTION APPROVING <br /> ENGINEER'S REPORT; RESOLUTION DECLARING WORK NECESSARY FOR <br /> AN IHPROVEHENT IN STREET IHPROVEHENT DISTRICT NO. 1989-1; <br /> and RESOLUTION DIRECTING AUDITOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS. <br /> On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. A bid <br /> opening and protest hearing are scheduled for June 8, 1989, <br /> at 10:00 AH in the Commission Room at the Courthouse, <br /> <br />6. SOCIAL SERVICES, Board appoiRtments delayed <br />Resumes' and expressions of interest in serving on the County Social <br />Services Board were received from James Kappel, Glenda L. Sanford, <br />Virginia Blain, Jane Grant-Shambaugh, John Wambheim, Johan P. Finley, <br />and Adeline Hartl. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to reschedule <br /> the decision on appointments to the County Social Services <br /> Board to fill two vacancies until the next meeting to allow <br /> time to review the resumes', some of which were received <br /> today. Hotion carried. <br /> <br />7. SOCIAL SERVICES, Deadline for applyiRg for Board appointment <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> deadline be set to receive additional applications for <br /> Social Service Board appointments in the office of the <br /> Secretary of the County Commission no later than 5:00 PH on <br /> April 26, 1989. Hotion carried. <br /> <br />8. OFFICER'S REPORTS, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to receive and <br /> file the Officer's Reports for Harch, 1989. Hotion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />9. SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOT, City of Riverside MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign a County <br /> Deed to the City of Riverside for the purchase of tax- <br /> forfeited Lot 5, Block 5, less the west 60' in Stockyards <br /> <br /> <br />
