Minutes--March 21, 1989 215 <br /> <br />in place of Commissioner Sondrall, who did not wish to continue <br />to serve on this Board. Mr. Sondrall questioned whether an <br />alternate member would have to be an elected official also, and <br />the States Attorney stated that he was uncertain because the <br />Metropolitan Council of Governments has recently reorganized <br />their membership. Generally speaking, he felt an alternate <br />would have the same qualifications. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />47.SOCIAL SERVICES, Payment of bill <br /> Concerning a Social Services bill or rent payment which the <br /> Commission questioned last week, Mr. Wieland reported that the County <br /> Social Service Board was aware of it and they did approve allow the <br /> increase in rent. <br /> <br />48.NDACo, Letter of thanks <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman <br /> send a letter on behalf of the Commission thanking Mark Johnson <br /> and the staff at the North Dakota Association of Counties for <br /> their assistance on the passage of House Bill 1018, and for a <br /> job well done during the 51st Legislative Assembly.
