155 Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded that a letter from Carole Sehumacher regarding a claim for $100.00 to pay her insurance deductible for a broken windshield on her vehicle be referred to the County's insurance carrier. Motion carried. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Cass County Commission go on record to endorse the proposed Fargo Dome facility. Motion carried. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Richard Offutt be authorized to hire staff replacement in the same grade level for Loyal Opsahl in the Data Processing Department. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant permission for out of state travel for Sheriff employee, Lt. Arland Rasmussen, to attend the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center quarterly meeting in Rapid City, South Dakota, on December 6 and 7, 1988. Motion carried. At the Chairman's suggestion, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that County Accountant Mike Montplaisir be given the responsibility of being a contact person on the County's insurance needs, effective December 1, 1988. Motion carried. Mr. Wieland asked the Commission to begin considering appointments to a jail advisory committee, which was suggested at a meeting held November 18th on planning of new institutions. It was the consensus of the Commission that Mr. Eckert and Mr. Sondrall should negotiate with John Meyer, Veterans Service Officer, on compensation for serving as sexton for the Cass County Cemetery Authority.
