127 <br /> <br /> Concerning the County's contribution to a paving pro3eot at <br />Leonard, Don Richards mill inspect the project and provide an <br />affidavit of completion prior to the County ~uditor paying the amount <br />agreed upon by the County Commission last week. <br /> <br /> A public hearlng was scheduled for 10:00 AM on the 1989 County <br />budget. Chalrman Don Eokert asked for any comments from the audience <br />and hearing none, he declared the public hearing close~. <br /> <br /> County Auditor Ordelle Brua reported that information from the <br />North Dakota State Sales and Use Tax Returns for PiG New Horizons, <br />Inc. qualifies them for a permit to sell beer and mine in conjunction <br />with the sale of prepared meals on Sundays, according to State lam. <br />The Cass County Sheriff's Office stated that they mould have no <br />objection to the license, and States Attorney Robert Hoy had no <br />objections provided the requirements of NDOC 5-02-05.2 are met. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to grant the special <br />license as requested by PiG New Horizons, Inc. through December 51, <br />1988, and to establish the license fee at $57.50 for the remainder of <br />1988. The motion carried on roll call vote with four members voting <br />"Aye" and Mr. Sondrall opposing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file <br />the Officer's Reports for August, 1988. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The meeting mas recessed and reconvened after a meeting of the <br />Cass County Building Authority. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />a letter from Warren Solberg, Stanley 'Township Chairman, regarding <br />the continued problem of junk stored on the Oarl Aabye property in <br />St. Benedict; and refer copies to the Cass County Court and the <br />States Attorney's office. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Nieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />a letter from Warren Solberg, Stanley Township Chairman, dated <br />August 26, 1988, regarding the "Rutten 8ridge" located between <br />Sections 23-24, Stanley 'Township; and refer it to the County Engineer <br />for comment and recommendation. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to submit the name <br />of Lloyd Stromme as nominee for President of the North Dakota County <br />Commissioners Association.
