103 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JULY 26, 1988 Chairman Don Eokert called the meeting to order with all members present as follows: Oscar Sondrall, Alon Wieland, Don Eckert, Jeannette Stanton, and Ray Larson. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion tattled. Mr. Wleland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Ervin Aarestad be reappointed to the City of Harwood Planning and Zoning Commission from the extra-territorial area for another five-year term to expire July 1, 1995. Motion carried. Concerning four terms which are expiring on the County Social Services Board, Mr. Wieland asked for an extension of one week to submit one additional name. He submitted two names at the end of last week for the Commission's consideration; and he stated that Adeline Hartl has indicated that she would like to be reappointed. Mrs. Stanton asked for three week's time appointment to the Southeast Human Services Board Jones, who no longer resides in Cass County. before making an to replace Maura Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded that County Engineer Don Richards be authorized to advertise for bids for paving County Road 51 from County Road 20 north two miles. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that County Engineer Don Richards be authorized out of state travel to Colorado Springs, Colorado, on August 28-51, 1988 to attend a recycling seminar if his schedule permits. Motion carried. Chairman Eokert received notice that Frank Racek will be sworn in as Cass County Court Judge on August 1, 1988, at 8:50 AM. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the Indemnity 8ond on Lost Instrument for William Robideau, Jr. and authorize the Auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve payment of $157.5o for West Fargo Chamber of Commerce membership renewal. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland questioned ~hy a response was not received from the States Attorney on how to proceed after receiving notice last Tuesday that Mr. William Kirschner will terminate his contract for providing indigent defense services in Cass County Court effective August The matter will be placed on the agenda for next luesday.
