92 <br /> <br />was clarified that the person appointed will serve until December 31 <br />of this year. The person may also choose to run in the general <br />election this fall if he files by September 9. Other persons not <br />included among those on the list submitted by the Judicial Nominating <br />Committee may also run in the election. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Earl Haugen, County Planner, appeared regarding Oxbow <br />Incorporation petitions. After discussion, Mr. Larson moved that the <br />Oxbow Incorporation be put on next week's agenda. Mr. Sondrall <br />seconded. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> A request from the Red River Valley Fairgrounds for a special <br />events beer permit was presented for the dates of July 13-15. After <br />discussion, Mr. Wieland moved to grant the permit subject to approval <br />of the Sheriff's Department, motion seconded by Hr. Sondrall. <br />Insurance for this is the Fair's responsibility. Hotion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> The next item of business was a Lost Instrument Bond for the <br />City of Reile's Acres. Hrs. Stanton moved, Mr. Larson seconded to <br />replace the lost check in the amount of $462. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> A request from the County Weed Control Board to pay overtime <br />after an 8-hour day, rather than a 40-hour week basis, was denied, <br />and Hr. Eckert was appointed to write to Wayne Colberg informing him <br />that the established Personnel Policy regarding overtime would not be <br />altered for the weed sprayers. <br /> <br /> Next presented was a signed easement from the North Dakota Game <br />and Fish Department to the Rush River Water Resource District and <br />partial assignment thereof to the Cass County Park District. <br />Mr. Wieland moved to receive and file the easement and partial <br />assignment of easement, motion seconded by Mr. Sondrall. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> A letter was received from Georgia Pope Dawson stating she will <br />start work July 11. Hr. Larson moved to accept and file the letter, <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded. Hotion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded a motion to receive <br />and file a letter from Southeast Human Services informing of a <br />vacancy on that board. <br /> <br /> The next item discussed was fireworks. After discussion, <br />Mrs. Stanton moved that if conditions worsen, that the Chairman and <br />Glenn Ellingsberg issue a ban on fireworks. Mr. ¥ieland seconded, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Regarding a request from the Cass County Housing Authority to <br />change their food and van service in West Fargo, Mr. Wieland <br />recommended that Board members go out there to look over the <br />situation. This item will be placed on the agenda for next week. <br /> <br /> A Leonard Ritter who had requested to be on the agenda to <br />discuss conditions at the jail did not appear. <br /> <br /> <br />
