Other persons not included among those on the list submitted by the Judicial Nominating Committee may also run in the election. Motion carried unanimously. Earl Haugen, County Planner, appeared regarding Oxbow Incorporation petitions. After discussion, Mr. Larson moved that the Oxbow Incorporation be put on next week's agenda. Mr. Sondrall seconded. Motion carried unanimously. A request from the Red River Valley Fairgrounds for a special events beer permit was presented for the dates of July 13-15. After discussion, Mr. Wieland moved to grant the permit subject to approval of the Sheriff's Department, motion seconded by Hr. Sondrall. Insurance for this is the Fair's responsibility. Hotion carried unanimously. The next item of business was a Lost Instrument Bond for the City of Reile's Acres. Hrs. Stanton moved, Mr. Larson seconded to replace the lost check in the amount of $462. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. A request from the County Weed Control Board to pay overtime after an 8-hour day, rather than a 40-hour week basis, was denied, and Hr. Eckert was appointed to write to Wayne Colberg informing him that the established Personnel Policy regarding overtime would not be altered for the weed sprayers. Next presented was a signed easement from the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to the Rush River Water Resource District and partial assignment thereof to the Cass County Park District. Mr. Wieland moved to receive and file the easement and partial assignment of easement, motion seconded by Mr. Sondrall. Motion carried unanimously. A letter was received from Georgia Pope Dawson stating she will start work July 11. Hr. Larson moved to accept and file the letter, Mrs. Stanton seconded. Hotion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded a motion to receive and file a letter from Southeast Human Services informing of a vacancy on that board. The next item discussed was fireworks. After discussion, Mrs. Stanton moved that if conditions worsen, that the Chairman and Glenn Ellingsberg issue a ban on fireworks. Mr. ¥ieland seconded, motion carried unanimously. Regarding a request from the Cass County Housing Authority to change their food and van service in West Fargo, Mr. Wieland recommended that Board members go out there to look over the situation. This item will be placed on the agenda for next week. A Leonard Ritter who had requested to be on the agenda to discuss conditions at the jail did not appear.
