78 <br /> <br /> Chairman Eokert requested the County Engineer to provide a <br />written list of all County Road Department policies concerning <br />townships, after providing a copy of the same to the County Board. <br />Mrs. Stanton stated that County Planning polices pertaining to <br />townships should also be provided in writing. <br /> <br /> The Ohairman stated that a public hearing was held two weeks ago <br />on elimination of the bridge between Sections 23-24, Stanley <br />Township. Due to the cost of repair or replacement, Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mr. Sondrall seconded to send a letter to the Stanley lownship <br />8card of Supervisors advising them that the County determined that <br />the bridge shall remain closed, and the bridge will be removed at <br />County expense if requested by Stanley lownship. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. Don Richards was requested to draft <br />the letter to Stanley Township. <br /> <br /> Upon the request of Administrative Assistant Diana Murack, <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to order an employer's <br />handbook from the Internal Revenue Service for a 30-day examination <br />period and that Diana Murack report back to the Commission prior to <br />that. Cost of the publication is $197.00, and Mrs. Stanton asked to <br />see the book as soon as it arrives. The motion carried on roll call <br />vote with all members voting "Aye". <br /> <br /> Diana Murack stated that she has been invited to become a member <br />of the Communications Committee of the Fargo-Cass County Economic <br />Development Corporation and it will require one or two hours of her <br />time once per month. <br /> <br /> Diana Murack introduced Terry Baumgarten, an <br />Moorhead State University, who is presently working <br />Personnel Department. <br /> <br /> intern from <br />in the County <br /> <br /> A bid opening was held at 10:00 AM for Road Department equipment <br />and supplies. <br /> <br /> 8ids were received from the <br />pipe arch: Fargo Culvert Company, <br />H.V. Johnston Culvert Oompany. <br /> <br />following for structural plate and <br /> Oonteo Construction Products, and <br /> <br /> 8ids were received from the following for asphalt products: <br />Christianson Asphalt Products and Koch Materials Company. <br /> <br /> Bids were received from the following for a hydraulic excavator: <br />Diesel Machinery, Inc., Butler Machinery Company, Sweeney Brothers, <br />Midwest Industrial Machinery, Inc., and General Equipment, Inc. <br /> <br /> Bids were received from the following for three tractors and one <br />front end loader: G & R Equipment, Fargo Implement Company, and <br />Ford Tractor of Fargo, Inc. <br /> <br /> One bid was received from Wheeler Consolidated, Inc. for treated <br />timber deck panels. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the above bids <br />be referred to the County Engineer for tabulation and recommendation. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
