78 Chairman Eokert requested the County Engineer to provide a written list of all County Road Department policies concerning townships, after providing a copy of the same to the County Board. Mrs. Stanton stated that County Planning polices pertaining to townships should also be provided in writing. The Ohairman stated that a public hearing was held two weeks ago on elimination of the bridge between Sections 23-24, Stanley Township. Due to the cost of repair or replacement, Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to send a letter to the Stanley lownship 8card of Supervisors advising them that the County determined that the bridge shall remain closed, and the bridge will be removed at County expense if requested by Stanley lownship. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Don Richards was requested to draft the letter to Stanley Township. Upon the request of Administrative Assistant Diana Murack, Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to order an employer's handbook from the Internal Revenue Service for a 30-day examination period and that Diana Murack report back to the Commission prior to that. Cost of the publication is $197.00, and Mrs. Stanton asked to see the book as soon as it arrives. The motion carried on roll call vote with all members voting "Aye". Diana Murack stated that she has been invited to become a member of the Communications Committee of the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation and it will require one or two hours of her time once per month. Diana Murack introduced Terry Baumgarten, an Moorhead State University, who is presently working Personnel Department. intern from in the County A bid opening was held at 10:00 AM for Road Department equipment and supplies. 8ids were received from the pipe arch: Fargo Culvert Company, H.V. Johnston Culvert Oompany. following for structural plate and Oonteo Construction Products, and 8ids were received from the following for asphalt products: Christianson Asphalt Products and Koch Materials Company. Bids were received from the following for a hydraulic excavator: Diesel Machinery, Inc., Butler Machinery Company, Sweeney Brothers, Midwest Industrial Machinery, Inc., and General Equipment, Inc. Bids were received from the following for three tractors and one front end loader: G & R Equipment, Fargo Implement Company, and Ford Tractor of Fargo, Inc. One bid was received from Wheeler Consolidated, Inc. for treated timber deck panels. Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the above bids be referred to the County Engineer for tabulation and recommendation. Motion carried.
