The motion faiied on roli oaii vote with oniy Mr. Larson and Mr. Sondraii voting "Aye"; Mrs. Stanton, Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eckert opposing. Mr. Wieland stated that John Kautzman requested a salary increase of $3,000 each six months until he reached an annual salary of Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Mike Montplaisir of Fargo, ND be offered the position of County accountant at a starting salary of $36,000 per year. The motion carried on roi1 call vote with Mrs. Stanton, Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eokert voting "Aye"; Mr. SondraII and Mr. Larson opposing. Upon the request of Sheriff Don Rudniok, Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to change the date of the public input meeting on a proposed Law Enforcement Center and jail from July 19 to the date of July 27, 1988, in conjunction with the guidelines of the "Planning of New Institutions" publication of the U.S. Department of Justice. Motion carried. Mr. Larson reported that there will be a meeting with City of Fargo officials on June 28, 1988 at Fargo City Hail concerning a combined Law Enforcement Center. Sheriff Don Rudnick reported on a meeting this morning with the Jail physician regarding the detoxification area in the Jail. He is concerned that it is a liability problem for the County, and it is a law enforcement problem for the City of Fargo. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded state travel for Tina Johnson to Fergus Fails, MN, Motion carried. to approve out of on June 13, 1988. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the application for a raffle permit for the ND Jr. Polled Hereford Association at the Red River Vaiiey Fairgrounds on the date of July 28, 1988. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Commissioners Wieland and Stanton receive reimbursement for their registration of $195.00 to attend the National Association of Counties conference in Anaheim, CA. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Commissioners Wieland and Stanton be appointed as voting delegates to represent Cass County at the NACo conference in Anaheim, CA. Motion carried. On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the Chairman declared the meeting recessed until June 16, 1988, at 9:00 AM. Motion carried.
