52 <br /> <br /> Upon the recommendation of the Oounty Engineer, Mr. Sondrall <br />moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a utility permit to Cass <br />County Electric to bury a cable under County Road 154 in the SE 1/4 of <br />Section 15, Gardner Township. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The Chairman referred a letter <br />Durbin Township expressing concern over <br />Road 9. <br /> <br />to 'the County Engineer from <br /> the deterioration of County <br /> <br /> County Auditor Ordelle 8rua requested permission to hire staff <br />replacement for Vonnie Rostad for an entry level accountant. <br />Mr. Lar'son moved and Mr'. Sondrall seconded that Ordelle Brua be <br />authorized to hire staff replacement in Pay Grade 7 at a salary not <br />to exceed $1,500 per month, with the qualifications presented by the <br />Auditor. On roll call vote, the motion oarrled unanimously. <br /> <br /> Ordelle Brua presented a job description for a Oounty accountant <br />position. It was stated that a C.P.A. is desirable, but the <br />Commissioners were in agreement that it should state that a C.P.A. is <br />preferred. Mr. Lanson moved arid Mr. Wieland seconded that the County <br />Auditor advertise for filling a County Accountant position at a <br />salary range of $2,288 - $3,416 per month, the closing date for <br />accepting applications being May 12th at 4:00 PM, the wording being <br />changed to state that a C.P.A. is preferred; and to advertise in <br />rh~ Porum arid with North Dakota Job Services. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Brua stated that she is working <br />with the Personnel Technician on this. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Weed <br />Control Board be allowed to hire seasonal employees as .follows: two <br />employees at $7.50 per hour, five employees at $6.00 per hour and up <br />to three employees at $5.00 per hour. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to grant a Raffle <br />Permit to the Embden Community Club on May I to ~une 50, 1988, at the <br />Embden Community Center. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Lanson seconded that the information <br />packet, as prepared by Administrative Assistant Diana Muraok, on the <br />proposed ~oint law enforcement center be provided to financial people <br />and arol~iteots who are inquiring about the proseot. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that copies of a <br />letter from Earl Pomeroy, North Dakota Commissioner- of Insurance, <br />regarding the tax increment error be forwarded to the City of Fargo, <br />the Fargo School District and the Fargo Park District. Motion <br />carried. Mr. Wieland asked the Administrative Assistant to do this. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lanson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Commissioners <br />Wieland and Stanton, along with County Director of Tax Equalization <br />Clarence Miller, be appointed to meet with the City of Fargo <br />concerning the Assessor's Office. Motion carried. Mr-. Wieland asked <br />the Administrative Assistant to notify the appropriate City of Far'go <br />officials in writing today of the County representatives. <br />Mrs. Stanton stated that she will follow through on setting the <br />meeting date. <br /> <br /> <br />
